Fuzzy Little One

Baby chicks grow fast! They are adorable, but very delicate at first. They make little peeping sounds when they are content and happy. They also move around alot, and sleep alot. Even on top of one another!

Only Five Weeks Old

This is how little chick is growing. She is out in the fenced area, and most of her pretty white feathers have come in. Good chicken feed, and fresh water daily keep her healthy. Also, some leftover food scraps are a real treat.

All Grown Up

Our baby looks quite different now. She makes squeeky sounds when happy, and loud ouch sounds when pecked. Her size keeps her at the bottom of the pecking order in her flock. Some fiesty little ones will peck back, and show the bigger ones they will not be bullied.

With Her Flock

Chickens hang out with one another, and are on the move. They wander from one another, and then back again. They are quietly eating, and exploring their environment. This outdoor routine allows chickens to be in their natural state.
